Suing someone or being sued?

If you are suing or being sued, your case will either be handled in Ontario Small Claims Court or the Superior Court of Justice.

Small Claims Court is for lawsuits over money or the return of property worth less than $25,000.

The Superior Court of Justice is for lawsuits over money or return of property worth more than $25,000, or lawsuits about ordering someone to do something, like move a fence.
