If you have a low income and cannot afford to pay court fees, you may be eligible for a fee waiver. The fee waiver applies to most fees in family, civil, and small claims court proceedings.

This online interview will gather your personal information and automatically generate the forms you need to request a fee waiver. However, before you begin, please carefully read A Guide to Fee Waiver Requests.

Note that this interview is only for use if you are applying for a fee waiver for yourself. If you are a litigation guardian or special party representative making a request on behalf of someone else, see the fee waiver guide for instructions on the correct form to use.
